Q: What is Holistic Nutrition?

A: A Holistic Nutritionist has the knowledge to look at your whole body as an intricate system trying to achieve balance.  In this day in age, our bodies have to work extra hard as we are bombarded with environmental toxins, pesticides, chemical derivatives, preservatives, and additives.

It can be overwhelming to choose the “best” food when producer’s

claim that they provide a healthier version over their competitor,

but do they? Or is it smart marketing?

We are there to educate our clients on the confusing world

of food and direct them towards the right path of a healthier,

happier and empowered life.

We create programs that are specifically right for each

individual by understanding their past and present

heath status. Core to our success is the teaching that live,

fresh, natural, good quality foods are key to achieving balance.

True health is achieved when we focus on the root of the problem, the place

where the symptom stems from, and not waiting until disease occurs to take action.

Q: What should I expect when coming in to see you?

A: The initial consultation lasts approximately 1 hour. This appointment is spent reviewing your health history, which includes a series of background information that you will fill out prior to this visit.

Follow up visits may include grocery stores tours, pantry purges and additional services offered by Live Light Nutrition. They may last anywhere between 45 mins and 1 hour. I believe that communication is crucial to your health success. You are free to contact me via email, Facebook, Twitter or phone with any one of the Live Light Nutrition packages. In turn it is important that you disclose important information and be active in the process. I am here to be your health coach for the duration of the package that you choose.

Q:  I am Skeptical that Nutrition has anything to do with overall health. I have been eating the same way for years and I am fine. So why would I see a Holistic Nutritionist?

A:  “We are what we eat,” pure and simple. Your food is your fuel and the cells in your body are built from the foods that you eat. When you make suitable food choices for your specific requirements you will build improved proper cell structures, which is the foundation of total health. The hardest part of understanding how nutrition affects our daily life is connecting the dots that what you have been eating for years may be causing certain unfavourable symptoms. Your body gives you clues that it may be overburdened in the form of chronic headaches, bloating, gas, irritability, fogginess, weight gain, weight loss, infertility, hair loss, and low sex drive to name a few. Someone with these symptoms may accept them and feel that it is part of life and wouldn’t necessarily feel they are sick. Proper nutritional changes will allow you to feel better, have more energy, have less bothersome symptoms and prevent future diseases from occurring.

Holistic Nutritional consulting is not intended to treat, diagnose or cure disease.  If you believe you may have a health condition, see a Medical or Naturopathic Doctor.
